Brac is a large Croatian island that is nestled in the waters of the Adriatic Sea. The largest city on this island is Supetar, and around 18 kilometers from it is a charming town known as Milna. Milna rests on the western coast of Brac, and is famous for its marina, ideal for visitors on yachts and boats. On Croatia’s island of Vis, however, there is also a village that shares the same name.
But despite the name similarity, Milna on the island Brac offers its own unique flair which keeps tourists coming back for more. The bay in Milna, as mentioned earlier, is a perfect place for yachts to dock, and the beaches are also great for visitors with families. Milna has been around since the 16th century, as historical sources suggest. To date, there are structures in the village that serve as a reminder of Croatia’s rich past.
Like many municipalities and villages on the island Brac, the economy depends highly on agriculture and fishing. Among the most notable products in Milna and the rest of the island are wines and olive oil. When you take a tour of Milna, you won’t have a hard time finding accommodations, as there are many apartments and cottages that you can rent.
